Master of Science in Bioscience from the Saurashtra University (1974); Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (1981). Senior Principal Scientist and Head of the Division of Landscape Ecology at SACON since 1992. His interests are on natural resources and landscape ecology, particularly wetland conservation.
